The Trans-European Transport Network is choosing e-mobility, too

The 2018 edition of TEN-T days was hosted in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from the 25th to the 27th of April. The big event revolved around e-mobility, with the involvement of organizations, citizens and other stakeholders. The e-MOTICON European project coordinated by RSE drew lot of interest

E-mobility is not just an option that fits the urban environment: indeed, the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) already was and keeps being interested in all things related to e-mobility. It’s no coincidence that the 2018 edition of TEN-T days – held in Ljubljana from the 25th to the 27th of April – was the one that featured the highest number of e-mobility related issues in the event’s history.

Set to be a big trade-fair for the mobility industry with a strong trans-national dimension, the TEN-T days 2018 had many items on the agenda, all of which were discussed in a strongly European perspective: long-distance transport, connections between smart city nodes, intermodal transport, safety, the role of ICT, new technologies such as the blockchain, just to name a few.

The event featured well over 2,300 transportation experts and decision makers, including 4 members of the European Commission and 26 ministers [17 of which from European Union member countries], and more than 100 exhibitors presenting innovative transport solutions and technologies.

The event’s work focused on developing tools for smart, sustainable, safe mobility – including on the trans-European transport network – as well as on identifying suitable funding sources for connectivity. TEN-T Days 2018 also provided a new, dynamic format to bring together innovators and potential investors.

The e-MOTICON European project, coordinated by RSE, was chosen as the flagship project to be presented at the INTERREG booth, but also in the first pitch session.

After the brief project presentation, many new contacts were established. It was definitely a great opportunity for RSE to create connections with prospective investors and other stakeholders with a view to involving them in current and future projects.
