ERNCIP users rank PCS-ResTest lab amongst top5 for visibility

The data released by the European Reference Network for Critical Infrastructure Protection (ERNCIP) put the Power Control System Resilience Testing of RSE among the top five most viewed inventory ERNCIP

Such a recognition points to the high quality of the activities and competences that RSE can put to use on the international stage. RSE’s Power Control System Resilience Testing (PCS-ResTest) lab turned out to be ranked amongst the 5 labs earning top visibility and drawing the attention of most users of the European informative tool known as ERNCIP (European Reference Network for Critical Infrastructure Protection).

ERNCIP is a project launched in 2009 by the Institute for the Protection and Security of the Citizen (IPSC) of the European Commission’s Ispra Research Center (JRC) in the framework of the European Programme for Critical Infrastructure Protection.

But what does it aim to?
Firstly, the lab carries out activities aimed to experimentally assess the impact of cyber attacks to the systems governing the operation of power grids, as well as the effectiveness of the safety countermeasures embedded in their architecture. Secondly, it also operates in the framework of the theme-specific activities of the ERNCIP programme grouped under the Industrial Control Systems and Smart Grids name - in close cooperation with PCS-ResTest.
