</html><description>For some years now, the electricity system, which has remained essentially stable in its structure and operating philosophy for decades, has been facing profound change. The development and reinforcement of the transmission and distribution grid is necessary in the face of the rapid expansion of renewable energy sources, but must also address issues of environmental and economic sustainability. In this context, the "Electricity Transmission and Distribution" project aimed to develop studies, tools, technological solutions, methodologies and data capable of promoting the management and development of the T&amp;D grid according to criteria of efficiency, safety and quality of supply, also to meet the growing need for the integration of renewable sources, often penalized by a network structure designed in the second half of the last century in a technological, environmental and social context completely different from that of today.</description></oembed>
