In Italy there is a growing interest around the technological development of the sector, which presents us with important challenges and opportunities, including the realisation of cost-effective devices, the refinement of devices according to the characteristics of wave power in Mediterranean sites, and the use of coastal infrastructure for installation. In this context RSE developed the WaveSAX device, as part of System Research. The activities carried out during this research year focused on a new measurement campaign in the Port of Civitavecchia and an activity aimed at developing a wave prediction system.
