In this edition, Antonio Gatti, a Researcher in the \u2018Network Development and Safety\u2019 Group of RSE&#8217;s Energy Systems Development Department, offers an analysis on the structure and details of the Italian electricity bill.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"vertical-align: baseline;\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\"><span style=\"color: black;\">Starting from July 2024, end users will have to compulsorily source their electricity through the free market (thus benefiting from economic conditions determined in a competitive regime among operators), as they will longer be able to rely on the protected market (enjoying a service provided according to provisions of the Regulatory Authority ARERA).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"vertical-align: baseline;\"><span class=\"normaltextrun\"><span style=\"color: black;\">Although end users are classified by type of consumption and tariff treatment, they are all subject to the same electricity cost structure, consisting of: energy component, dispatching services, network services, overhead charges and tax charges.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph\" style=\"margin: 0cm;
