RSE took part in the 17th edition of KEY – The Energy Transition Expo, the event organized by IEG – Italian Exhibition Group, from February 28 to March 1 at the Rimini exhibition center. From e-mobility to the development scenarios of renewables in Italy: there were many topics that RSE delved into.<\/p>\n

On February 28, Giuseppe Mauri, Head of the Research Group of RSE Transmission and Distribution Technologies Department spoke about the distribution network and electric cars at the event \u2018The recharging infrastructure that will come\u2019 organized by ANIE. Starting from the current state of electric mobility, Giuseppe Mauri delved into the topic of charging technologies for electric vehicles, analyzing their impact on the electric system. On February 29, Michele Benini, Director of RSE Energy Systems Development Department, participated in the meeting \u2018The panorama of renewables in Emilia-Romagna\u2019 organized by Regione Emilia Romagna, with an in-depth discussion entitled \u2018The role of renewable sources in the scenario underlying the PNIEC [the Italian National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan]\u2019 to analyze perspectives and development scenarios about RES. On February 29 in the afternoon, an event was held by Anie Federazione, Generazione Distribuita – ANIMA Confindustria, entitled \u2018The strategic role of infrastructure in the energy transition.\u2019 Michele Benini took part in the panel discussion to explore the strategic role of infrastructure in the energy transition.<\/p>\n

On February 29 in the morning, Marco Borgarello, Research Group Leader of RSE Energy Systems Development Department, participated in the event \u2018Policies, tools and actions to make municipalities’ assets efficient,\u2019 organized by the KEY Technical Scientific Committee and ANCI – Associazione Nazionale Comuni Italiani [National Association of Italian Municipalities]. Marco Borgarello spoke at the session titled \u2018The point of view of techno-structures: measures and tools.\u2019 On the topic of energy transition, Borgarello highlighted two issues in particular: the role of institutions, which through the planning of the PNIEC defined a series of measures to achieve the set objectives, and that of households, which often struggle to adapt to the decision-maker’s indications. One possible solution, as illustrated by Borgarello, is to promote a culture of knowledge to demonstrate that efficiency measures, if well supported by appropriate public support measures, can be cost-effective and profitable.<\/p>\n
