These infrastructures may require significant power levels from the electrical grid, which the grid might not always be able to supply. In this context, stationary storage systems can cover the peaks in charging power, thereby limiting the maximum power demand from the grid and avoiding the need to upgrade the grid connection.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This article presents the modeling and simulation activities of a high-power charging station connected to the low-voltage distribution grid and coupled with a stationary storage system. To investigate the performance and benefits of fast-charging systems integrated with storage systems and connected at low voltage, a simulation model was developed and presented.
