In particular, the simulation of these materials is a very important topic for predicting their behavior. This work proposes and analyzes, from a mathematical point of view, an algorithm for the simulation of active polymers arranged in possibly complex geometries. This algorithm was designed to be implemented with unstructured three-dimensional grids coupled with shell elements to account for boundary effects and boundary layers in a computationally efficient manner. In particular, it focuses on the existence of a discrete and positive solution to the algorithm.
