The use of the generalized definitions of security and safety enables the evaluation of risks for a system and for the environment in a more complete way, highlighting the dependencies (intra- and inter-dependencies) of these properties, allocated to the different subsystems, and therefore detailed analysis of the security of a complex system. The analysis can consider all types of risks, both physical and ICT, enabling security to be quantified at all levels and for all subsystems.<\/p>\n
