This work presents a tool for the optimal economic and technical sizing of a battery electrochemical storage system (BESS, or SdA) that provides multiple services simultaneously to the electricity system. The services considered may include: provision of primary frequency regulation; provision of secondary frequency regulation; provision of tertiary frequency regulation; reduction of imbalances of a renewable source generator \u2018coupled\u2019 to the BESS. Participation in the energy market (Day Ahead Market) is also considered. The tool is implemented as a linear programming mathematical model in which all regulatory obligations relating to the services considered are included as constraints.
