The electricity system is not exempt from cyber attacks that put almost all sectors and activities of the modern digitized society at risk. The consequences of attacks on the control infrastructure of the electricity system can have even very significant repercussions both for the core business<\/em> of operators and for most of the essential services of an advanced society, with effects that can even jeopardize the personal safety of citizens. Fortunately, there are countermeasures, outlined in international standards, that indicate how to increase security levels while ensuring interoperability among operators, technology manufacturers and end users. These countermeasures predictably have side effects, usually consisting of a deterioration in performance that must be evaluated in advance and, if necessary, counterbalanced with solutions selected from possible alternatives. This paper describes a platform that was developed to measure the impact of solutions indicated by the IEC 62351 standard with respect to TLS profiles.
