The unique morphological, charge transport, and surface properties make MXenes ideal materials for energy storage applications, such as active materials in alkaline ion batteries and supercapacitors, as conductive agents or buffers in composite electrodes for high-energy applications, and as electrocatalytic materials for oxygen evolution or redox flow batteries.
