Three strategies are considered: providing synthetic inertia, primary frequency regulation, and both services together. The performance of the proposed control solutions is analyzed in a 2030 scenario for the power system in Sardinia. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach and show that, specifically for refrigerators and water heaters, the contribution to frequency regulation is more significant during positive frequency deviations.
