Both the DC conversion of portions of MVAC networks and the integration of new infrastructures in DC are of interest.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The article presents an approach to the problem of MVDC infrastructure development by going beyond what is found in the literature, where the choice between MVDC and MVAC is mainly related to a single technical aspect, such as the calculation of network power losses, voltage drops or installation and operating costs.
