For these structures and infrastructures, interference with basic geological hazards defined by national mapping (seismic, hydraulic, landslide, tsunami) were analyzed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With a view to further analysis in subsequent years, with particular reference to seismic hazards, methods from scientific literature were identified and analyzed to study, from a modeling point of view, the seismic hazard of a pilot area, identified in the Campania region, with the aim of performing 3D numerical simulations of ground shaking caused by earthquakes. Among those analyzed, the discontinuous Galerkin spectral element numerical method, implemented in the SPEED code, was found to be suitable for the applications and purposes of the research activity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Also for landslides, with a view to further investigate this aspect on the area chosen as the \u201cpilot case\u201d for the analyses that will follow, a first approach for the evaluation of landslide spatial susceptibility was developed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The objective is to arrive, at the end of the three-year period, at the definition of a workflow that brings together best practices and guidelines derived from the two types of analysis, seismic and landslide.
