The monograph \u2018E\u2026muoviti! Mobilit\u00e0 elettrica a sistema\u2019 [Electric mobility as a system] was one of the main editorial products of RSE at the end of the first three years of research on the topic of e-mobility. Its first edition, dating back to 2013, aimed to tell an audience of both technicians and common people the main elements of this new form of traction, which was showing initial signs of growth. Nine years later, the progressive electrification of the automotive sector is a fact, driven by increasingly stringent regulations and industrial plans now strongly oriented towards decarbonization and the gradual phase-out of fossil fuels. Together with the industrial efforts, research on the topic has also seen important progress and still offers valuable results and indications to stimulate and support an optimal electrification process. The objective of this document is to present the new activities and results obtained by RSE in recent years of research on the topic, considering the significant changes in the external context. The main topics relate to modeling activities, focused both on the transport sector and on air quality and LCA\/LCC analyses, which allow for a comparison between technologies throughout the entire life cycle, also in terms of environmental externalities. The topic of the impact of the spread of electric vehicles on distribution networks, both in the private and public transport sectors, is also discussed. Finally, the opportunities and technical-economic potential of the conversion to electric are debated with a particular focus on company fleets, also in view of the direct experience gained by RSE with its own vehicles.
