The database consists of 30 years of data at hourly time steps and spatial resolution on the order of 1 km over the entire Italian territory, including marine areas, at different heights above the ground. The approach used is based on a combination of meteorological modeling and statistical post-processing, thanks to which the database could be generated in good time and with a significant saving in terms of computational resources, while maintaining an adequate level of reliability.
