One of the main challenges in the path towards the energy transition is the development and implementation of policies that actively involve all end users, including the most vulnerable, to achieve an inclusive and \u201cfair\u201d transition.<\/p>\n

For this purpose, it is necessary to implement targeted strategies to reduce the risk that the most vulnerable social groups will be marginalized. Indeed, as stated in the \u201cFit for 55\u201d Directive, vulnerable people could fall into an even more serious disadvantage if not adequately supported.<\/p>\n

This work aims to address these issues, extending the analysis on energy poverty carried out in previous years by integrating an assessment of the energy vulnerability condition of the Italian families. Finally, the potential of the Renewable Energy Communities to address energy poverty has been analyzed.<\/p>\n
