    An operational short-term forecasting system for solar power plants

    Verrà presentata l’attività svolta in RSE/SFE in merito alle previsioni di potenza producibile da impianti fotovoltaici di diversa dimensione (da qualche kWp a MWp di potenza nominale).

    The work done in RSE/SFE regarding to solar power plants, ranging in size from few kWp to some MWp, will be presented. The forecasting method is based on the outputs of a numerical weather prediction model (RAMS), and on a suitable post-processing, which uses production time series. The measurements have been validated, before using in the training process, by means of a specific software developed in RSE, based on cloudiness reconstructed from satellite imagery. The application of the technique to the IesPV network, managed by RSE, will be shown.
