L’attività rientra nel progetto Trasmissione e Distribuzione e riguarda lo sviluppo e la verifica delle prestazioni di sensori e metodologie innovative di tipo ottico per un controllo “Smart” e in linea di componenti elettrici di cabine primarie e secondarie. Il lavoro riporta i risultati di caratterizzazione di un sensore ottico per la misura di tensione in cabine MT.

Today the new ” Smart Grid ” requirement for real-time distributed and capillaries information on the status of its components, through a significant increase in the number of measuring points, involves the integration of several cheap sensors not only in new smart electrical components but also in the existing ones.

In this framework the target of new smart electrical components was pursued by proposing an optical prototype as practical solution to meet the accuracy needs for the continuous monitoring of voltage of Medium Voltage electric boards.

It is based on the use of a material sensitive to the electric field and the use of optical components for the telecommunications industry , in order to ensure easy availability on the market , low cost and proven reliability.
