Methodology to identify “Good Practices” of Energy Efficiency in Industry

After the publication of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) in 2012, many European countries have already adopted schemes and mechanisms to implement the Directive: however big differences of approaches still re-main among the Member States (MS), especially with respect to the identification of the real benefits of measures and to the assessment of their efficiency and sustainability. As a consequence, a huge amount of the efficiency potential still remains untapped.

This poster proposes a full methodology for the identification of “Good Practices” of Energy Efficiency (EE) taken from real cases adopted in the European industry that could be a useful guide for stakeholders interested in investing in EE and Policy makers that have the need to continuously improve EE legislation and regulations across the EU. The proposed methodology has been developed in the H2020 EU-MERCI project (Grant Agreement 693845) and through an Italian national research funding system (called “Ricerca di Sistema”, “InduCO” project), both coordinated by RSE.
