    Wet-snow: fenomenologia, monitoraggio, previsione e scenari climatici

    RSE presenta la problematica della neve umida in relazione agli eventi di disservizio elettrico generati dalla formazione di manicotti sulle linee elettriche. Vengono altresì presentati i sistemi di monitoraggio e previsione sviluppati da RSE per supportare gli Operatori Elettrici nella gestione in sicurezza della rete. La presentazione affornta anche aspetti climatici del fenomeno in prospettiva futura.

    The presentation of RSE focuses on the phenomenon of wet snowfalls and highlights the problems that this type of meteorological events cause to the electricity grids with the formation of snow sleeves on the conductors, which are followed by electrical disruptions caused by the failure of conductors and structures.

    The experience of RSE in monitoring the sleeve formations through the experimental WILD (Wet-snow Ice Laboratory Detection) is presented together the WOLF (Wet snow Overload Alert and Forecasting) system, for the prediction of snow sleeves formation on the conductors of the electric overhead line. The presentation also deals with climatic aspects of the phenomenon in future perspective.
