    Developing methodologies and algorithms for the management of distribution, demand and distributed generation networks, with the aim of fostering the development of an ‘active’ distribution network.

    • Evaluation of regulatory and tariff aspects of active networks
    • Methodologies and algorithms for the planning and development of distribution networks in the light of increasing amounts of distributed generation and new types of consumption (e.g. electric cars)
    • Algorithms for operating active distribution networks through the dispatch of distributed generation and management of storage systems
    • Study of the interactions between power grid and small users
    • Domotic technologies for load management and second-generation electronic meters
