An international conference titled ‘Sustainable Energy Communities: a necessary self-sufficiency for the planet?’, organized by the UNESCO Chair at the University of Pisa, takes place on April 22 on the occasion of the 54th World Earth Day.

The meeting is an opportunity to explore the prospects for the development of the sector and the potential role of the spread of energy communities. The conference aims to highlight the research and national and international prominence that RECs are assuming through talks by scholars and experts in the field.

At the opening session entitled ‘Lectures – The Energy Transition: a look at the world. The energy outlook for the old continent,’ RSE CEO Franco Cotana will give an in-depth speech on promoting innovative and replicable models of energy community management.
