Sustainability

The ‘Sustainability’ Knowledge Community aims to debate the analysis and identification of solutions to support an equitable and sustainable energy transition.

This requires the use of new social and environmental monitoring and assessment tools, as well as support tools to identify optimal solutions.
In addition, the KC discusses how to promote greater attention to the relationship between energy planning and the local sphere.

This involves identifying ways to engage people as well as central and local institutions in the promotion and devising of policies to support the deployment and management of renewable resources.
To this end, the KC organizes seminars and workshops to promote a cultural change, where sustainability is a primary target and an integrated approach is developed taking into account the interaction between energy, environmental, economic and social systems.
