Summary of communication and dissemination activities for the year 2022 of the “Renewable Energy and Territorial Integration” Project

This report summarizes the dissemination activities carried out in 2021 under Project 2.5 – Renewable Energy and Territorial Integration, which aims to support energy planning and promote the development of renewable energy sources (RES) through an integrated approach.

This report summarizes the dissemination activities carried out in the year 2021 as part of Project 2.5 – Renewable Energy and Territorial Integration.

The general objective of the project is to support energy planning and encourage the development of renewable energy sources (RES) through the adoption of a comprehensive approach that, starting from the individual generation technology and the availability of RES in the national territory, takes into account the technical, economic, environmental and regulatory aspects of the different solutions and any potential for hybridization and integration.

This general objective is pursued by referring to the three technical and scientific factors that most influence the development of RES: innovation in RES generation technologies, the spatial and temporal distribution of their availability, and the possibility of their integration into the overall energy system.

The results of the project are made available to public administrations, stakeholders, the scientific community and civil society, mainly through technical reports, which are made available on the RSE institutional website and illustrate in detail the results obtained during the year. In parallel to this type of dissemination, the project has implemented several other types of dissemination in order to maximize the impact of the project.

In this regard, it should be noted that the activities foreseen in the project include technical initiatives with a strong communicative value, such as interactive atlases for exploring the distribution of different RES on the national territory and the characteristics of the territory relevant to their use, the use of social platforms and public repositories for the distribution of software products, and active participation in international coordination initiatives.

In addition to these initiatives, more general dissemination activities were carried out, such as the publication of articles in scientific journals, participation in conferences, educational initiatives and meetings with institutional and industrial stakeholders.
