Activities carried out in 2021 by RSE for the dissemination of results and the exchange of knowledge with public and private stakeholders in the field of “Electric Mobility and its Integration and Interaction with the Electricity System”

Summary of the dissemination and knowledge exchange activities that took place during 2021 as part of the WP “Electric Mobility and its Integration and Interaction with the Electricity System”. Indication of the main events organized by RSE, participation in conferences and working groups, meetings with practitioners and institutions, published articles, and further dissemination actions.

Despite the continuation of the limitations imposed by the Covid-19 health emergency, the activities of the electric mobility project and the WP “Electric Mobility and its Integration and Interaction with the Electricity System” gave RSE many opportunities to disseminate its results and exchange of knowledge with other stakeholders in the sector. In particular, the interaction with other operators has provided interesting ideas for the development of technological solutions and allowed continuous updating on the evolution of the sector and the need for further research activities. This document reports in a nutshell on all the opportunities for confrontation that RSE benefited from during 2021 and that occurred in multiple forms:
• Inauguration event of the RSE experimental charging area;
• National and international scientific and sector conferences;
• Participation in regulatory committees and in particular in the CT 316 Vehicle-To-Grid Task Force;
• Participation in national and international bodies such as the International Energy Agency (IEA), Technology Collaboration Program “Hybrid & Electric Vehicle”;
• Meetings with industrial operators, associations, institutions, and public bodies;
• Preparation of articles and conference proceedings;
• Web dissemination channels;
• Interviews and contributions to radio, television, and web-TV programs.
The technical topics covered by RSE have attracted growing interest over the three-year research period, also thanks to the advancement of theoretical and experimental activities on the innovative management of company fleet charging. The growing number of meetings and events confirms particular attention to the topic of charging infrastructure, its functionality, and its technological prospects by operators, the industrial sector, and also institutional entities in charge of planning and management activities.
