Studies on clean use of fossil fuels and CO2 capture and sequestration

With the aim of reducing the emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases from fossil fuel-fired thermoelectric power plants for the same amount of energy produced, RSE will evaluate and develop methods and techniques for reducing emissions, develop new technologies for CO2 capture and sequestration, and carry out modeling analyses and environmental measurements to understand and assess the actual criticality of emissions and thus effectively guide technology development.

The project benefits from synergies with several European research projects of which RSE is coordinator DEMOYS (7FP) or partner H2IGCC (7FP), HEATTOP (6FP), TOPPCOAT (6FP).
