Cost-Benefit Analysis of TSO-DSO coordination to operate flexibility markets

This paper presents the results of the cost-benefit analysis (CBA) for the different alternatives defined in the SmartNet project for coordination between transmission system operators (TSOs) and distribution system operators (DSOs).

The paper presents the results of the cost-benefit analysis (CBA) to evaluate the different alternatives defined in the SmartNet project for coordination between transmission system operators (TSOs) and distribution system operators (DSOs). The CBA compares five coordination schemes in three countries (Italy, Denmark and Spain) based on different economic indicators. In addition to these, the article also outlines some results of non-economic evaluations.
