Research and cooperation between Italy and the USA: RSE at MIT in Boston, followed by Washington

A selected number of RSE researchers have traveled to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to take part in experimental activities on advanced energy technologies. RSE President Carloalberto Giusti is also engaged in several international institutional commitments.

”The world of research brings us together for an important occasion for international dialog and growth”: this is how RSE President Carloalberto Giusti commented on RSE’s mission to the United States, in which he is leader of the delegation of Italian researchers benefiting from a unique training opportunity on nuclear issues at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with Emilio Baglietto , Associate Department Head and Professor of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT in Boston.

With a view to international cooperation, there are several institutional meetings organized: President Giusti met with the Consul General of Italy in Boston, Arnaldo Minuti, and the Advisor for Scientific, Technological and Commercial Affairs, Professor Paolo Gaudenzi, to share ideas for bilateral collaboration between Italy and the United States.

The program of overseas meetings attended by the President of RSE—in addition to the events organized by the Italian Embassy—also includes the ‘Welcome Meeting to the DC Business and Investment Scene,’ organized on October 24 in Washington by the Transatlantic – Harmonic Foundation and the Washington DC Economic Partnership: an opportunity to discuss initiatives and prospects for collaboration in science and technology between the two countries.

”It is important to create and promote opportunities for growth, contact, and comparison of our reality with international excellence. Italy can rely on human capital capable of contributing to technological innovation in the energy and sustainability sector. At RSE, we have the professionalism, desire and energy to grow and cooperate beyond national borders,” concluded Giusti.

This initiative is part of a broader international commitment by RSE, which actively participates in programs such as the Green Powered Future Mission (GPFM) and the International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN), with the aim of developing clean energy technologies and promoting the integration of renewable sources into global energy systems.
