Life Cycle An RSE study addresses potential environmental impacts of sodium batteries using an LCA approach

This article refers to the RSE paper “Sodium-Ion Batteries with Ti1Al1TiC1.85 MXene as Negative Electrode: Life Cycle Assessment and Life Critical Resource Use Analysis” published in 2022 in the journal Sustainability. An environmental and economic analysis was developed comparing sodium-ion button cells with corresponding lithium-ion batteries to assess the sustainability of these technologies in both environmental and economic terms.
