Starting April 30, the Joint Research Center in Ispra will host the international conference “Methane Action for People & Planet – From Discovery to Solutions” marking the 250th anniversary of Alessandro Volta’s discovery of methane on Lake Maggiore. The event will bring together leading global experts methane and policymakers, alongside national and international media.

The opening day will be dedicated to global methane policy, followed by two days focused on the latest scientific innovations in measurement technologies and emission reduction strategies.

Giulia Zazzeri from Sustainable Development and Energy Sources Department will chair the session “The future of methane science to action” and showcase the methane detection capabilities of a high precision mobile methane analyzer. This is a must attend event for anyone looking to understand and stay ahead of the future of methane research.
