RSE’s integrated approach to the energy and environmental retrofitting of historic landmark buildings

The role of microclimate monitoring.

 

On March 25–26, the 54th AICARR International Conference titled “Decarbonising Our Future: Energy, Economic and Social Aspects of Smarter and Digitalized Buildings and Cities” was held at Fiera Milano Rho.

 

The conference saw significant participation of researchers, engineers, and experts in the fields of building-sector decarbonization, thermal comfort, indoor air quality, energy efficiency, digitalization, and innovative construction materials.

 

As part of the event, Arianna Peduzzi, researcher at the Land and End-Use Energy Efficiency Department, presented the contribution “Microclimate in Historic Buildings: The Role of In-Field Monitoring in the Design of Retrofit Interventions”, focused on the assessment of retrofit strategies and comfort levels of historic building.
