Non-programmable Renewable Energy Sources: Information Session with Stakeholders in December

The meeting on December 17 with stakeholders ahead of the publication of the public notice for submitting research, development, and innovation project proposals.

An online meeting will take place on December 17 from 14:30 to 16:30 with the aim of promoting a discussion to gather strategic input from industry stakeholders – industries, associations, consortia, research centers, and public administrations – to guide the objectives of upcoming calls for proposals towards priority areas. These priorities are based on the potential participants’ focus areas and the benefits for the end users, ahead of the publication of the next Call for Project Proposals.

Non-programmable renewable energy sources (NRES), particularly photovoltaics, wind, run-of-river hydroelectric, and marine energy, have been central to the decarbonization of the electricity sector and Italian and European energy strategies for years. They are expected to play a key role in the energy transition. This session aims to create a space for industry operators to direct the objectives of the MASE-Mission Innovation calls (Decree of November 16, 2023) toward tangible priorities, thus supporting the efficient penetration of these generation systems and facilitating both their correct integration into territories and stable management of the electricity system.
