RSE research on the road

Immersive journey into the world of energy and sustainability.

The tour of Italian universities and trade fairs organized by RSE to illustrate the 14 projects of the three-year research period 2022-2024, now in the final phase, starts in October.

A journey that, from north to south, combines the immersive experience of a virtual reality lab with in-depth workshops, offering students and professionals in the energy sector the opportunity to explore and learn about the world of RSE. Through personalized navigation and interactive activities, participants will be able to analyze the most recent developments in RSE research in the various thematic areas, with a focus on the evolution of the electricity sector from an environmental, economic and social sustainability perspective. The workshops, led by RSE researchers, will complete the training path, providing further food for thought and study.

There are 4 Italian stages in total. We start with the University of Genoa on October 1 and 2, where we will talk about the resilience of electricity networks, an increasingly crucial topic in a context of growing energy demand and transition to renewable sources. Resilience, in fact, does not only concern the ability of networks to deal with critical events such as failures or natural disasters, but also to adapt and respond flexibly to future challenges, thus ensuring continuity and security of energy supply.

The tour then continues with the University of Ferrara on October 9 and 10, where we will focus on the topics of energy efficiency, hydrogen and renewable sources, exploring the opportunities offered by new production and storage technologies to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste and optimize consumption, with a particular focus on the integration of hydrogen as an energy vector and the role of renewables in the transition framework.

From 16 to 18 October, RSE will be in Rome at ZeroEmission Mediterranean, a fair focused on the themes of renewable energy and the most advanced technologies for the production, storage and distribution of clean energy, in an international setting that pursues the common goal of reducing CO2 emissions and promoting environmental sustainability. Here, the RSE Laboratory will be in Pavilion 3 inside the CSEA (Cassa per i servizi energetici e ambientale) stand, dedicated to System Research.

The tour will end at the Politecnico di Bari on October 23 and 24, where we will highlight the increasingly important role of Renewable Energy Communities, innovative models that bring citizens, businesses and local administrations together in collaboration to produce, share and use energy from renewable sources at a local level, thus contributing to greater energy autonomy.

This is a unique opportunity to gain insights on the themes of sustainability and technological innovation in the energy sector, guided by RSE researchers and project leaders who will illustrate the results of their work.

The world of research has never been so close!
