RSE’s contribution to the ASviS 2024 Report

The study also illustrates the results of climate analyses prepared as part of System Research.

On December 13, at the headquarters of the National Council for Economy and Labor (CNEL), the ASviS Report on Territories 2024 was presented: a document that illustrates the positioning of regions, provinces, metropolitan cities, urban areas, and municipalities with respect to the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) of the 2030 Agenda. The research also includes a review of international and European experiences in territorializing the SDGS, delves into the implementation of the national strategy for sustainable development, analyses territorial inequalities and cohesion policies and identifies the natural and anthropogenic risks facing our country, such as heat waves, desertification and forest fires.

In this regard, RSE has made its contribution by making available some of the climate analysis results achieved as part of system research and summarized by Paola Faggian, climatologist at RSE, in a few pages of the report, in which some climate projections over Italy along the XXI Century (at short, medium and long term) are described, under different emission scenarios linked to different assumptions of socio-economic development, with respect to which climate conditions will be significantly different. In particular, the climate change impacts expected on the national power system under different assumptions of anthropogenic forcings are described.
