Quality of electricity supply

Electrical supply quality refers to a wide variety of electromagnetic phenomena that characterize the voltage and current at a given instant and at a given node of an electrical system.
These phenomena occur in the utilization (user’s internal networks and/or equipment) or transmission/distribution (electricity supply networks) systems, and can affect the performance of electrical equipment depending on their magnitude.
The increasing prevalence of applications with electronic equipment that cause and/or are sensitive to electromagnetic disturbances has definitely increased the interest in service quality in recent years. This is precisely where the activity of this subproject comes in, the objective of which is the analysis, definition and development of innovative methodologies and solutions aimed at improving the quality of electrical supply.
