Scenarios for the medium and long term evolution of the Italian electricity system

Investigate the development prospects of the electricity system with a horizon of 2010 – 2030, within the broader national energy system, through:

  • the development of tools and methodologies suitable for planning and designing the development of the electricity system and for evaluating/analyzing supply and demand scenarios;
  • carrying out detailed analyses of both demand and supply of electrical energy (and power);
  • monitoring the interactions of the electricity system with the environment and developing tools to characterize the state of the environment in the sectors most affected by the electricity system;
  • the consequent construction and evaluation of development scenarios.
