Analyses of contingencies impact and key benefitsin a HVAC-to-HVDC OHL conversion study case

The present paper gives account of different static and dynamic network analyses and includes economic elements in terms of key benefits regarding the potential conversion of a transmission line from HVAC (High Voltage Alternating Current) to HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current). Focus of the studies is specifically on the power system and network of Sicily in a 2030 scenario.
