Analysis of the pan-European power system evolution: effects of external HVAC and HVDC corridors

This article analyzes the impact on the developed pan-European zonal model of power flows on the HVAC (High Voltage Alternating Current) and HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) corridors from/to the bordering regions to the east and south over a 2030 time horizon.

This article contributes to studies on the future development of the electricity transmission system in Europe. In particular, we analyze the impact on the developed pan-European zonal model of power flows on the HVAC (High Voltage Alternating Current) and HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) corridors from/to the bordering regions to the east and south over a 2030 time horizon.
