Assessment of Cyber Security Requirements for the Future Digital Power System

This paper addresses the assessment of cybersecurity requirements in terms of standards and architectural solutions needed for the evolution of the digitized electrical infrastructure.

The study examines a use case of the analysis of requirements for the implementation of a congestion management function, to explain the methodology and present certain results. These types of results provide valuable support for the utility’s subsequent security-by-design implementation of the extended Smart Grid operational infrastructure.
