Experimental Validation of a Dynamic Equivalent Model for Microgrids

This article presents the results of the experimental validation of an equivalent model for micro-grids.

The main objective is to represent, using a simplified model, the dynamic response of a micro-grid, in terms of active and reactive power exchanges at the connection point, based on voltage and frequency variations. The article proposes an equivalent nonlinear model with operational constraints. It then establishes an identification procedure to define the parameters of the equivalent model. To validate the approach, a series of experimental tests were carried out on a real low voltage micro-grid considering different configurations. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
