Assessment of the impact of electromobility on urban distribution feeders under different scenarios

This document presents a methodology to assess the impact of electric mobility on a portion of the distribution network in Milan.

Following decarbonization goals, the future increase in electrical loads will have a significant impact on the electric distribution network, particularly in urban areas due to high densities of end-users. This article presents a methodology to integrate network data with publicly available information to predict future scenarios of heat pumps, air conditioners, electric mobility, and photovoltaic generation.

 

These scenarios are applied to the electric distribution network of Milan to assess the impact of new users and their key characteristics.
