Activities carried out by RSE in 2021 for the dissemination of results and the exchange of knowledge with public and private stakeholders in the field of ‘Scenarios and tools for electric mobility’

Summary of the dissemination and knowledge exchange activities that took place during 2021 as part of the ‘Scenarios and tools for electric mobility’ WP. Indication of the main events organized by RSE, participation in conferences and working groups, meetings with operators and institutions, published articles, and further dissemination actions.

For some years now, electric mobility has attracted ever-increasing interest from a vast institutional, industrial and generalist audience. As part of the activities of the electric mobility project and the ‘Scenarios and tools for electric mobility’ WP, there were therefore many opportunities for RSE to disseminate its results and exchange knowledge with other stakeholders in the sector.
Despite the difficulties caused by the continuation of the Covid-19 health emergency, the interaction with other operators remained intense also during 2021 and allowed for the dissemination of RSE results useful to establish policies or to develop technological solutions, on the one hand, and for a continuous update on sector evolution and the collection of ideas and indications for future research activities, on the other. This document a very short description of all the opportunities for discussion RSE had during 2021. They took multiple forms:
• Seminars and study days;
• National and international scientific and sector conferences;
• Meetings with industrial operators (utilities, e-mobility service providers, vehicle manufacturers, infrastructure manufacturers) and associations;
• Meetings with institutions and public bodies (ministries, ARERA [Italian regulatory authority for energy networks and environment], regions, municipalities, mobility agencies, others);
• Meetings with universities and other research centers;
• Preparation of articles in journals and for conference proceedings;
• Web dissemination channels (DossiERSE and LinkedIn).
Of particular importance during the year were the dissemination activities linked to the environmental theme (air quality and LCA analyses) and to the electrification of means of transport other than private cars, especially waste collection vehicles and boats for public transport on the lakes.
