Development of studies, methods, tools and prototypes to:

• • support the integration of technologies, sensors, measurement instrumentation, devices, superconducting cables, control and protection logic into networks validated by means of simulations and/or tests, also using hybrid alternating current/direct current (AC/DC) networks
  • advanced monitoring of power grids for Power Quality characterization considering both traditional MVAC networks and distribution networks with direct current (DC) and hybrid AC/DC portions
  • carry out security and adequacy analyses supporting transmission network planning, manage in a risk-based manner operation scheduling supporting resilience, plan distribution networks taking into account local flexibility resources, also considering HVDC links.

• Support national and international institutions and regulatory activity to ensure application spillovers of results
