Hydrogen – An Energy Vector for Decarbonization

The newest addition to the RSEview series, a monograph devoted to the topic of hydrogen, is now available online.

Addressing both the scientific community and public and private decision makers, the volume illustrates the state of the art of the different technologies that make up the hydrogen supply chains, with regard to the production, storage, transport and use phases, while providing information on the associated costs. By reading the results of the most recent scenario analyses, carried out with a view to accelerated decarbonization and with medium (2030) and long (2050) term horizons, the publication thus outlines the most effective trajectory of the energy system evolution up to the goal of zero emissions, with a progressive growth of hydrogen uses, and estimates its possible penetration in our country.
