Activities

RSE promotes and develops research projects covering the many aspects of the electricity sector. The central topics covered by RSE’s activities include the evolution of scenarios and technologies, the promotion of renewable sources, grid materials and infrastructures, the development of electricity markets and energy efficiency, the design of new architectures for transmission and distribution networks, and control and forecasting systems for electricity generation.

Our forward-looking vision focuses on optimizing the management of plants and their integration into the electricity grid, with the aim of minimizing their environmental impact and ensuring they are properly integrated in the territory.

RSE’s research is financed by the Fondo per la Ricerca di Sistema Elettrico (RdS) [Electricity System Research Fund] under the instruction of the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition, as well as by national and European calls.

For institutions and companies, RSE performs specialized and consulting services, nationally and internationally.

In carrying out its activities, RSE actively collaborates with research organizations, universities and industry operators, both nationally and internationally.
