Energy Communities

The ‘Energy Communities’ Knowledge Community discusses platforms and tools that enable communities to design and plan energy production and management efficiently and sustainably.

These tools enable communities to become active players in the energy transition, by reducing their environmental impact and improving their quality of life.

To this end, the KC is committed to deepening and discussing analyses and studies of methodologies for the optimal planning and management of energy resources in compliance with the requirements of EU directives concerning regulatory, technical, territorial, social, economic and market aspects.

n addition, the KC delves into innovative techniques (Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, optimization and control) for the efficient management of energy resources, focusing on the development and application of models for forecasting demand and generation from non programmable renewable sources (NPRS) in order to estimate EC flexibility, production/consumption availability and improve the business model of energy communities.
