Congratulations to Shuji Nakamura’s Blue Laser Fusion by RSE

RSE President Carloalberto Giusti: “We are proud of this important recognition awarded to Blue Laser Fusion, whose CEO is Shuji Nakamura, member of the External Scientific Committee of RSE, to whom we send our heartfelt congratulations”.

Energy System Research – RSE S.p.A. highly commends the important result achieved by Blue Laser Fusion – a company founded by the 2014 Nobel Prize winner in Physics Shuji Nakamura, who collaborates on inertial confinement nuclear fusion with RSE – which won the prestigious INFUSE Project Award from the US Department of Energy.

“We are proud of this important recognition awarded to Blue Laser Fusion, whose CEO is Shuji Nakamura, member of the External Scientific Committee of RSE, to whom we send our heartfelt congratulations”, stated RSE President Carloalberto Giusti.

“Since the new RSE Governance, which I chair, took office in 2023, we have focused on the internationalization and recognizability of our company in the world. Among the first actions carried out in line with this approach is the appointment of Italian and international experts in the energy and sustainability sector within our Scientific Committee: among these, the 2014 Nobel Prize winner for Physics Shuji Nakamura stands out, to whom we wish to give credit and express our esteem, also in the view of his recent achievement”, explained Giusti.

“The new initiative involving us at MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston is also moving in this direction; in this prestigious American institute is a member of our Scientific Committee, Emilio Baglietto, where he holds a position as Associate Department Head and Professor of Nuclear Science and Engineering. Two are the objectives of our period of study there: increasing the knowledge and visibility of RSE abroad, and improving our researchers’ expertise on the important issues of modeling and simulation of complex components and systems; said issues are the new challenges of the energy sector in which we work” – added Giusti, who then concluded – “Excellence is and will be the watchword of this mandate in RSE”.
