Electric vehicles, the number of public charging stations in Italy is rising

An analysis conducted by RSE, based on data from the PUN.

The number of public charging stations for electric vehicles in Italy continues to rise, now covering approximately 60% of all municipalities, a significant increase from 41% in 2022.

These findings come from an analysis conducted by RSE, based on data from the PUN provided by GSE and harmonized with information from Motus-E.

Along the TEN-T network, which includes Italy’s main highway corridors, the current charging infrastructure is broadly aligned with the AFIR regulation targets set for December 31, 2025, with only 28% of TEN-T segments still lacking coverage.
